Jolt to Congress before Jasdan assembly by-poll – two taluka pramukhs resign announce support for Bavaliya

Rajkot: Giving a jolt to Congress in all important Jasdan assembly area of Rajkot district in Gujarat, which is to see a by-poll before January next year, two of the taluka panchayat presidents of the party today resigned and announced support for former MLA Kunvarji Bavliya who had resigned from the party in July this year to join ruling BJP and was inducted in the Vijay Rupani cabinet as a minister.
President of Congress ruled Jasdan Taluka Suresh Kakadiya and that of Bichhiya taluka Kadva Jograjiya resigned and announced support for Bavliya who would be the BJP candidate during the bypoll necessitated due to his resignation.
Both of them alleged that Congress was neglecting long time workers.
Bavaliya had resigned from the seat and Congress on July 3 and joined BJP and was inducted in the cabinet the same day.
He has said that in Jasdan by poll Congress would be wiped out as for the locals he was himself Congress and now that he has left the party no one cares for that.
