4 injured, car, bike torched in communal violence in Matar town of Central Gujarat

Kheda: Communal clash erupted in Matar town of Kheda district in Central Gujarat on Tuesday in connection with dispute over installation of Eid celebration flag at particular place.
Four persons were injured and some shops and vehicles were torched during this clash. Of four injured, at least one was injured due to stabbed injuries. Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) had given bandh call in Matar on Wednesday. State Reserve Police(SRP) force has been deployed in the town and situation is in control. FIR was lodged at Matar Police Station against a mob of at least 200 persons, of whom 12 were named as accused. They include Gazni, Munaf Bhulumiya Sheikh, Bismillah, Sabid Dadhi, Altaf(Taluka Panchayat member), Rahub, Feroze, Liyakat Gulamnabi, Muhammad Khabri, Sonu Malik, Mehbub Godhariyo and Munaf. A car and bike, 3 houses, small businesses were torched on Tuesday. Wednesday remained normal and peaceful.
Kirit Raval’s house ransacked
Kiritbhai Raval lives on Traj road near APMC in Matar. As a mob of Muslims came to his house, Kiritbhai and family left it. hen they returned, the house was ransacked and Rs 45,000 cash kept at home for daughter’s wedding was found missing.
