Teaser of Gujarati Movie Short Circuit: Aghru, Appetizer, Curiosity Aroused

Gandhinagar: Teaser of RJ Dhvanit starer Gujarati movie ‘Short Circuit’ is out. Around one minute long teaser was launched on December 14th across various social media platforms.

The movie is a science fiction one, in fact the first science fiction movie in Gujarati cinema world as Dhvanit claims. If we go by teaser, it projects the film as a thriller.

The movement of camera – from bathroom floor to skyline of the city of Ahmedabad and “Northern lights’ above – in a single movement, chopper like sound of exhaust fan and bit complex (aghri) commentary in Dhvanit’s voice are main highlights of this teaser.

Teaser creates an appetizing effect which it should. It doesn’t tell us much about the movie and pass on the torch to release of trailer.

This shall be Dhvanit’s second Gujarati film after that Chhokri Chhokri song fame movie ‘Vitamin She’ which was successful at box office. While Vitamin She had impression of a colorful, light, romantic, comedy film, the first image of upcoming film ‘Short Circuit’ is dark, tight, thriller, sci-fi.

Teaser suggests, the movie is not just another comedy attempt trying to please the audience but something different. Abhishek Jain had tried to bet on a thriller with ‘Wrong Side Raju’. Dhvanit and Hashmi appear to have attempted to bet on sci-fi with Short Circuit.

The film will be in theaters on January 11, just ahead of Uttarayan.

Faisal Hashmi, the writer-director of ‘Vitamin She’, teams up once again with Dhavnit Thaker aka RJ Dhvanit in ‘Short Circuit’ along with Kinjal Rajpariya( lead actress in Chello Divas, Shu Thayu) and stand up comedian and actor Smit Pandya. The plot of the film revolves around the protagonist who is stuck in a situation because of a failed science experiment where he is compelled go beyond the time and space dimensions to save the love of his life.

This film claims to hold a double bonanza by bringing larger than life Sci-Fi drama in Gujarat regional cinema first time ever across age groups with action pack Sci-fi drama.

Music is composed by Mehul Surti. Short Circuit is the first Gujarati Film whose audio is mixed at the AR Rehman Studios.

International teams were roped in for the project for cinematographer, set designs and action sequences. According to makers, the film with its edge-of-the-seat thrills and an epic adventure and Time-Thriller genre, this film is set to be a benchmark project in Gujarat Regional movie industry.
