Third judge of Gujarat High Court refuses to hear Vismay Shah’s bail plea, three recuses in an many days

Ahmedabad: Another judge of Gujarat High Court, third in a row, today refused to hear the bail pleas of sensational BMW hit and run case accused Vismay Shah, who was arrested from a liquor party close to Christmas from a farm house near Adalaj in Gandhinagar with five others including his wife.

Justice V B Mayani today recused himself from hearing the matter today saying ‘not before me.’

Notably yesterday Justice A P Thaker and day before that Justice Umesh Trivedi had also refused to hear the bail peas in similar manner.

A lower court in Gandhinagar had rejected his bail plea earlier after which Vismay and other accused have approached the high court for bail.

Now that the third judge has recused himself, the matter would be heard by some other judge selected by the Acting Chief Justice.

Newly wed Vismay (34), his wife Puja and four other friends including another lady were caught by police from Balaji farmhouse during a red conducted on a tip off. All the accused were in jail since then. Bottles of liquor and beer, a Mercedes car was also seized by police from the bungalow number 16 in the farm house area that day.

Vismay was earlier jailed in connection in 2013 BMW hit and run case in which two youths were hit by his car and died in Judges bungalow road in the city.
