Former Gujarat Minister and ex-MLA join Congress

Ahmedabad: Former Gujarat Minister Bimal Shah and ex MLA Anil Patel (Rathod) today joined Congress here in presence of party treasurer and Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel.
Shah who was the then Transport minister in Keshubhai Patel government of BJP had later left the party and contested as independent in 2012 and 2017 from his seat Kapadvanj but had lost on both the occasions.
Later he had returned to BJP. Earlier he was also an office bearer of BJP Yuva Morcha.
Patel who had won the Bardoli assembly constituency on Congress ticket in 2002 had later left the party and was off late inactive following joining BJP. He re-joined congress today.
