Rs. 127 crore additional fund released by Centre is in addition to Rs. 2355 crore already available: Gujarat govt.

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has sufficient fund to serve farmers in scarcity-hit talukas of State, said Revenue minister Kaushik Patel.
He said the total fund of State and Central govt is Rs. 2355 crore. The State government has put Rs. 1176 crore under related district collectors. Payment is going on through this fund.
He said 50% of disaster fund available to State government equals to Rs. 1177 crore. The centre makes allocation of needed amount – as per it, the Centre has made allocation of additional Rs. 127 crore. Thus the fund available to State government is Rs. 2355 crore in addition to fresh additional allocation of Rs. 127 crore. State government has received 90% portion of money available under State Disaster Relief Fund from the Centre.
He added that the State government has decided to increase daily assistance per cattle in cattle camps from Rs. 10 at present to Rs. 35.
The minister said the State government is spending Rs. 1400 crore for 51 scarcity-hit talukas and Rs. 800 crore input subsidy in 45 special package talukas.
