Dhandhuka Congress MLA served notice to pay penalty of face criminal case in illegal mining case

Gandhinagar: State Geology department has issued a notice to Congress MLA of Dandhuka assembly seat, Rajesh Gohil for payment of Rs. 9.78 lakh penalty in the case of illegal sand mining. If penalty is not paid, the MLA will face criminal complaint
State Geology department has seized an excavator machine from Gunjrabhadar river bed earlier this month in this case. Total 2893 metric tonne illegal sand mining has been noticed. If accused MLA fails to pay settlement amount of Rs. 9.78 lakh, he may face proceeding for imprisonment of upto two years and fine upto Rs. 5 lakh.
