New, better parking charge policy at Ahmedabad airport from next week

Ahmedabad: Vehicles accessing the Ahmedabad airport to drop and receive the passengers at present pay heavy charge for presence beyond 12 minutes. The Airport Authority of India(AAI) has now decided to introduce the changes in this system with effect from 1st March.
From the first week of March, only commercial vehicles will need to pay Rs. 50 as access charge in arrival area. Commercial vehicles are exempted from charges in departure area. For non-commercial vehicles, access to drop and receive areas will remain free.
Parking charge in dedicated parking lot of domestic and international terminals will be levied in three slots –
Rs. 40 for parking of coach, bus, truck for 30 minutes, Rs. 100 for 31st to 120 minutes and Rs. 20 per hour after that,
Rs. 30 for parking of car and other vehicle for 30 minutes, Rs. 85 for 31st to 120 minutes and Rs. 20 per hour after that,
Rs. 10 parking charge for two-wheelers for 30 minutes, Rs. 20 for 31st to 120 minutes and Rs. 10 per hour after that.
As per new rules, private vehicles entering to drop and receive passengers will not attract any charge.
At present any vehicle is charged for spending time beyond 10 minutes in domestic and 12 minutes in international terminal area.
