Joining BJP to strengthen the hands of Narendrabhai and to serve my constituency people even more effectively: Jawahar Chavda

Gandhinagar: Speaking to media persons at Gujarat BJP headquarters today afternoon, Jawahar Chavda said he would be able to serve the people of his constituency in better way by being in BJP. He said, he took a decision to join BJP after lot of thinking.
“I have been three-term MLA. For last 20-30 years I work for poor, deprived, farmers and needy people through NGO. I have been useful to people of my constituency, I want to become more useful to them by being a part of ruling party,” Chavda said.
Chavda said he has resigned as primary member, active member and vice president of Congress party and sent a resignation over email to party chief Rahul Gandhi.
Chavda said, “there’s a situation in the country in which we need to strengthen the hand of proud son of hand Narendrabhai. Country needs a strong leader for its security. He took ‘Ghus ke mara’ step for nation’s security. It has become essential to support him. I am very happy to join BJP.”
Chavda said he would do whatever job is assigned to him. Chavda said he would go between the people of his constituency for reelection.
Speaking in a press conference, minister of state for Home, Pradipsinh Jadeja said Chavda’s decision to join BJP was mainly based on three things – Vichardhara(ideology), Vikas(development) and Netrutav(leadership) of BJP.
Jadeja said party’s strength will increase by many fold with entry of big leader like Chavda. Jadeja said the decision whether to make Chavda a minister in the government will be taken by Chief Minister and central leadership. Chavda himself has said he is joining BJP without any expectation.
State BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya, General Secretary KC Patel, Minister of State Jayesh Radadia and BJP leader Mulubhai Bera were among those present in the press conference in which Chavda was offered saffron scarf and sweets and welcomed to BJP.
