Folk dances, dhol bands in Vadodara BJP MP’s nomination procession; CM said election is between India and Pakistan

Vadodara: Sitting Lok Sabha member representing Vadodara seat in Central Gujarat, Ranjan Bhatt today reached district collector office to file nomination form with procession in open jeep with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Performances of folk artists, traditional dhol bands were some of the highlights of procession which continued for around an hour. Earlier in a public meeting, Chief Minister Rupani slammed Congress over its ‘pro-Pakistan’ stand post Balakot air strike. Rupani went on to say that this election is between India and Pakistan.
Ranjanben Bhatt choose Jayesh Patel, a security man (chowkidar) as her proposer while filing a nomination form. She said she choose a chowkidar as proposer to support #MainBhiChowkidar movement. She recalled that in year 2014 when Narendrabhai Modi contested on Vadodara Lok Sabha seat, he had chosen a tea stall owner as his proposer.
