BJP declares four more candidates for Lok Sabha, one for assembly by-poll in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) today declared four more candidates for general elections of Lok Sabha and one candidate for assembly by-poll in Gujarat.
Bharatsinh Dabhi Thakor will be fielded on Patan seat, sitting MP Rajesh Chudasama will be contesting again from Junagadh seat. New candidate Miteshbhai Patel (Bakabhai) will contest from Anand seat while another new candidate Mrs. Geetaben Rathwa will contest from Chhota Udepur seat which is reserved for Schedule Tribe (ST) candidate.
Mitesh Patel(Bakabhai) is from Vasad.He is M.D. of Laxmi Protein Products Pvt Ltd. He had been treasurer of BJP, Anand district. He was syndicate member of S.P.University.
Geetaben Rathwa is four-term district panchayat member from Kwant. She is education. She has been district panchayat health committee chairman in the past. She is senior mahila morcha leader of district BJP unit.
Bharatsinh Dabhi Thakor is BJP MLA from Kheralu seat. He is deputy whip in the assembly.
Jashabhai Barad will be fielded on Talala assembly seat which is going to witness by-poll as sitting Congress MLA Bhaga Barad was declared disqualified by Speaker after his conviction in mineral theft case.
Jashabhai Barad is former minister.
With this, the names of 23 candidates are declared by BJP. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani yesterday told media persons that all candidates will be declared by April 2.
