Congress will give surprising results, win more than half of the LS seats in Gujarat: Satav
April 05, 2019
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress in-charge Rajiv Satav today claimed that his party would win more than half of the Loksabha seats in the state.
Satav, however accepted that there was some bickering in the party over candidature on one or two seats but it would be resolved soon.
Talking to newsmen Satav said that before the assembly polls in Gujarat Congress had only 43 MLAs who had voted for our winning Rajyasabha MP Ahmed Patel. Since then the party had acted unitedly and the people of Gujarat have given full support to the party.
‘In the LS poll we will win more than half of the total 26 seats in the state,’ he said.
To a query about giving more tickets to Patidar and OBC candidates Satav said that the tickets have been given after around a year of study about the winability.
He claimed that the party would give surprising results in this election.
Notably, BJP had won all the seats in this home state of PM Narendra Modi in the last election in 2014.
