New Delhi: Hours after the party released its Manifesto – Sankalp Patra – for the 2019 general elections, BJP president Amit Shah on Monday called on party veterans L K Advani and M M Joshi.

Shah’s meeting came within days both the senior leaders – former BJP presidents – were not fielded in Lok Sabha election.

The BJP had hinted earlier that it will prefer not giving tickets to those above 75 years of age. In the process, either the party nominated someone else in respective constituencies and in some places, the senior leaders have opted out of the race.
