Day after leaving Congress, Alpesh Thakor campaigns for independent candidate associated with his outfit on Banaskantha LS seat

Palanpur: A day after his resignation from Congress, Radhanpur MLA Alpesh Thakor today campaigned for independent candidate on Banaskantha Lok sabha seat in North Gujarat, Swarupji Thakor, who is also the vice president of Thakor Sena which is led by Alpesh.
Thakor said that he would also hold a big meeting after April 15 in the constituency.
He said that he wanted to ensure the victory of Swarupji who represented the poor people.
He claimed that the big crowd in his campaign indicated that Swarupji would win.
Thakor, who has not resigned from MLA post despite putting in papers from all posts in Congress, said that he was now against both Congress and BJP.
He reiterated that he has left Congress due to betrayal by the party.
Election on all the 26 LS seats in Gujarat will be held on April 23. Along with it by poll on four assembly seats would also be held. Alpesh has said that he would also campaign for the independent candidate associated with his outfit on Unjha assembly seat.
On Banaskantha LS seat BJP has fielded current state minister Parbat Patel while Congress has made former Banas Dairy Chairman Parthi Bhatol its candidate.
