New Unjha APMC Yard to come up at Brahmanvada village; foundation stone laid

Unjha: A new, modern APMC yard of Unjha will come up at Brahmanvada village. It will have world-class facilities. It will be developed at a cost of Rs. 37 crore. The State government has given a piece of land worth Rs. 69 crore for this market yard at discounted rate of just Rs. 4.76 crore, State Chief Minister said today at foundation stone laying ceremony for new market yard complex in presence of state chief minister, Dy chief minister and state BJP president among others.
The market yard will have godowns, shops, shops cum godowns, cold storage, processing plants, office and food hall among other facilities. It will have infrastructural facilities such as road, water supply, electrification, drainage, auction shade and compound wall.
Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister Rupani said that the State government has purchased Rs. 8,000 crore farm produce at support prices. He said the government purchased Rs. 3,000 crore produce in transparent manner directly by eliminating the middle men. He said the state government offers farm loan at zero per cent interest rate for which Rs. 500 crore revolving fund has been created. He said the farmers have been paid Rs. 2700 crore as crop insurance payment.
State BJP chief Vaghani said, Unjh market yard is Asia’s number one. It witnesses Rs. 4500 crore trade. It provides employment to one lakh people.
