In pictures: Giraffe, Impala, Zebra, Oryx, other animals brought to Zoological Safari Park at Statue of Unity

Gandhinagar: Giraffe, Impala, Wild beast, Oryx and other animals arrived at Sardar Patel airport in Gujarat in Boeing 777 freighter aircraft at midnight on 28th October for upcoming Zoological Safari Park at Statue of Unity, ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s visit scheduled tomorrow.
According to ACS Narmada and MD SSNNL Rajiv Gupta, Jungle safari is 375 acre in size with presence of 186 varieties of species – in total 1500 animals, birds, of which dozen are such that they are found nowhere in India. Gupta said the Jungle safari and other international level tourist attractions were conceived by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself. Gupta said PM provides continuous guidance and also does review of the projects being implemented here.
Gupta said, every day 30,000 visitors are arriving here in last three days. As per an estimate 50 lakh visitors will come here every year. We are developing 30 projcets of tourist interests that shall make visitors continue to stay here for two-three days.
