Rs. 5600 crore for Ahmedabad – Mumbai High-Speed Rail project in Union Budget 2020-21

Ahmedabad: The Centre has allocated Rs. 5,600 crore in union budget for financial year 2020-21 for the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) which is executing ambitious Mumbai – Ahmedabad bullet train project.
The budget demand for grants, document reveals that the Central government has allocated the fund through a special fund – IEBR (Internal and Extra Budgetary Resources). Actual fund provisioned for National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd was Rs. 2400 crore in year 2018-19, Rs. 5600 crore in revised budget of year 2019-20.
