Crocodile trapped in fishing net in Central Gujarat

Vadodara: In a bizarre incident, a crocodile was trapped in the fishing net spread in a local pond in a village in Vadodara district of Gujarat today.
A forest official said that the incident took place in Bhayali village where one Gordhanbhai Thakor had gone to catch fish. He had spread the net and when he pulled it out, he was astonished to see an around 3 and a half feet tall crocodile in it.
Wildlife experts were called who brought the reptile out of the net and took it to an animal rescue center.
Notably, crocodiles live in many water bodies in the central Gujarat. The river Vishwamitri which flows from Vadodara city also is home to a large number of such reptiles who during times of floods even creep in to the bathrooms and bedrooms of the houses in low lying areas of the city.
