School father beats 3 students for chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in Diu

Diu: An incident has come to light from the Union Territory of Diu, where three students were allegedly beaten by the school father for chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind.” As soon as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal learned of the incident, they approached the district collector’s office and filed a complaint with all the details. Given the severity of the matter, the district collector has ordered legal action against the father.

The incident took place on September 5th at Nirmala Mata English Medium High School during a Teacher’s Day celebration. After the National Anthem, a student shouted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind,” which reportedly angered Father Edmund Mascarenhas. He allegedly approached the students standing in a queue and beat three of them in an attempt to find out who had said the slogans.

Teachers and staff at Nirmala Mata English Medium School also reportedly turned a blind eye to Father Mascarenhas’ actions. The incident was initially covered up, as the parents of the assaulted students were afraid to come forward.
