Go Air issues statement on the incident of 2 pigeon found inside its aircraft before take off at Ahmedabad airport

Ahmedabad: Private airliner GoAir today said that the two pigeons were found inside its Ahmedabad Jaipur flight G8 702 on February 28 while passengers were on-boarding yesterday, however, the birds were shooed away by the crew and the flight took off as per its schedule.

The video of the pigeons inside the flight had gone viral over social media.

A statement by GoAir issued here today said, ‘ Two pigeons were found inside Ahmedabad Jaipur flight G8 702 while passengers were on-boarding. The crew immediately got the birds shooed away outside. The flight took off as per its scheduled time of 17:00 hours.’

‘GoAir regrets any inconvenience caused to its passengers and requests the airport authorities to get rid of this menace,’ the statement further said.

In this weird incident, a pigeon entered inside the Go Air Flight G8 702 from Ahmedabad to Jaipur before it was going to take-off. Passengers were seen making attempts to catch the bird.

The flight was connected to aerobridge.

The flight crew later managed to push pigeon out of the flight by opening the flight gate.

On February 18, a Bengaluru bound flight of private airliner Go Air from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad with 180 people on board was bird hit and sustained damage in its engine during take off roll. That had also caused a minor fire in its right engine. The fire fighters of the Airport quickly reached the aircraft and doused the fire. The aircraft was towed away from the runway and all the passengers were deplaned safely. The engineers inspected the aircraft and the flight was rescheduled.
