All malls and shops barring those offering essential items to remain closed till March 25 in four cities of Gujarat: State govt

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has today taken a decision to completely close the shops and malls in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot cities till March 25.
Medical equipment stores, vegetable selling, grocery shops, essential item shops, milk outlets, fruits selling, provision stores, medical clinics, hospitals, laboratories, medical equipment manufacturing companies and pharmacies will continue to function.
All municipal corporations, panchayat services, power related services, insurance companies, internet, telephone and IT related services, Bank, ATM, bank clearing house, stock exchange, godowns of all essential items, railway, transport service, petrol pumps, media and news papers offices will continue to function.
Water supply, gutter related works, manufacturing, transportation and storage of essential items such as food items, food materials, medicines, pest control, e-commerce related shops/organizations will also continue to function.
The decision was taken today in a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rupani in capital Gandhinagar.
Gujarat has so far 13 coronavirus positive cases. All cases have emerged in last 48 hours.
