Coronavirus: 1200-bed Ahmedabad hospital to operate from Monday, 250-bed hospitals in Rajkot, Vadodara each, 500-bed hospital in Surat soon

Gandhinagar: Senior IAS officer Pankaj Kumar has been assigned the responsibility to make sure that a 1200-bed Infection Isolation Hospital, start functioning from next Monday (less than 48 hours from now) at Asarwa based Civil hospital campus in Ahmedabad. The decision in this regard was taken in a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rupani in capital Gandhinagar.
A 250-bed hospital in Rajkot and Vadodara each and a 500-bed hospital in Surat should also speedily become operational as ‘Infection Isolation Hospitals’, Gujarat CM told the officials in a high level meeting today evening.
