People should wear masks to arrest droplets and prevent infection to spread: PM in meeting with CMs

Principal Secretary, Health, Govt of Gujarat sharing the details on video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today said, Prime Minister advised that simple cotton masks should be used by all to arrest droplets in order to minimize the spread of infection. Such simple masks made of cotton or handkerchief would be reusable/recyclable. WHO and U.S. experts have also advised same. There are many asymptomatic persons also who can infect others. If they wear simple mask and arrest droplets, it can help in breaking the chain. Use of such simple masks would be , environmentally also good as they don’t need disposal.
