43 flights to operate from SVPI airport in Gujarat on the first day of reopening on Monday

Gandhinagar: Tomorrow 43 flights will be operated from Sardar Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad. Flights will also be operated from other airports in Gujarat such as Surat, Porbandar, Kandla, Bhavnagar, Vadodara and Bhuj, said State Civil Aviation minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama adding that the passengers leaving and arriving at SVPI airport will need to strictly follow the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India.
According to a statement issued by the State government, asymptomatic passengers using flight, train or bus for inter-state travel will be allowed to go to their home directly, but they will need to check their symptoms for 14 days. In case of any symptom of Coronavirus, the passenger will need to inform the district surveillance officer immediately, or they can dial 104 or 1075. If some passenger is found symptomatic, he/she will be isolated and taken to nearest health centre for check. Each passenger will need to go through compulsory thermal screening before boarding. Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to travel in flights, trains and buses. Passengers will need to wear mask during boarding.
