Gujarat government announces Stamp-duty waiving to revive small industries

Gandhinagar: With a notion to revive the ‘Corona’ affected economy, trade and industry, under the ‘COVID-10 Relief Package’ Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided to waive stamp-duty for small and start-up industries. The decision would give waiving of the stamp-duty till October 31, 2020, to those start-ups which have been sanctioned a loan of Rs. 50,000.
The decision would give stamp-duty waiving benefit to nearly 25,000 small industries and start-ups. According to estimation, the decision has given stamp-duty waiving benefits worth of Rs. 1.75-Crore to the small industries and start-ups.
Not only this, CM Rupani has also decided to waive the stamp-duty on a loan of Rs. 10,000 availed under the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Aatmanirbhar Nidhi by the street-vendors and hawkers of urban areas of the state. The decision would benefits to nearly 2-lakh street vendors, in total amounting to Rs. 6-Crore.
In total, the decision of Gujarat Government has offered stamp-duty waiving benefits worth of Rs. 7.75-crore. Information
