PM Modi to lay foundation stone for world’s largest renewable energy park in Rann of Kutch: Rupani

Dhordo Tent City, Rann of Kutch: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation stone for world’s largest renewable power generation park in Kutch in near future.

‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform ground breaking for world’s largest renewable energy generation park in Kutch where 30,000 MW solar and wind – twin power generation will take place,’ Rupani said while speaking at ‘Border Area Vikas Utsav’ function at Rann Utsav fame Dhordo tent city in Rann of Kutch.

Rupani added that all preparations are over for proposed park. He said, the dates of Prime Minister’s programme are not decided yet.

He said the Prime Minister is also going to perform ground breaking for water desalination plant in Mandvi which will convert sea water into potable water.

‘Water will reach up to Lakhpat,’ he added in reference to proposed project.

Though schedule of Prime Minister’s visit to Kutch is yet not announced formally, speculations are rife that he may visit Kutch on November 30. It will be Kartiki Purnima, a full moon night. The Prime Minister has in the past spent full moon nights at White Rann of Kutch, located next to Dhordo tent city in solitude .

Chief Minister also mentioned Rs. 30 crore works for development of Mata no Madh and Rs. 200 crore works for Border tourism development project at Nada Bet, that are taking place through the State government. DeshGujarat
