Bharadwaj after his election to Rajya Sabha early this year suffered covid19 infection and couldn’t attend the upper house even for a single day because of his hospitalization. He had however took oath as Rajya Sabha member on July 22.
Bharadwaj’s name was declared as Rajya Sabha candidate of BJP on 11 March this year. He filed nomination on 13 March. He was declared victorious on 19 June. He took oath on 22 July. He was detected covid positive in the last week of August and taken to Rajkot based civil hospital for treatment. Mid September he was put on ventilator support. In November second week he was airlifted to Chennai for lung transplant.
He took oath as Rajya Sabha member on 22 July and that was the only time he visited Rajya Sabha as a member! If lived longer, an experienced lawyer, a well-studied Brahmin, a former journo, a committed right and vocal by nature, he could be a great orator and debater in the house pic.twitter.com/knHX5iyF45
