Patil who became state party president early this year has asked party cadres and leaders to form page committees covering all booths. Page committee covers one page of voters’ list booklet issued by the Election Commission. Gujarat has 182 seats in assembly. Patil has announced target to win all 182 seats in upcoming year 2022 general elections of Gujarat Assembly.
These days, Patil can be seen freely retweeting tweets of party leaders and cadres who announce completion of page committee in their booths.

A common draft of page committee involves name of a voter, age, phone number, Aadhar card number, blood group and address. In some areas, caste has also been mentioned in page committee sheet. There’s dictation that page committee should be made diverse wherever possible, by including women, youngsters and representation of different caste groups too. In recently concluded by-elections of 8 seats, Patil had introduced first page committee lists with photographs. The same model has been adopted across the State now.
Gujarat is going to witness a big poll season involving polling for 6 municipal corporations, scores of municipalities, taluka and district panchayats in the first quarter of calendar year 2021. The State is also going to witness general election of State assembly after two years.
