Mandatory 7-day home quarantine for all visitors to Surat city from outside Gujarat

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has ordered seven-day mandatory home quarantine with isolation within home for all those persons who come to the city from outside Gujarat. Those symptomatic will need to undergo Covid19 test urgently. Those failing to obey this order will attract legal action under Epidemic Disease Act and Disaster Management Act. These details are shared by SMC through a public notification signed by Health Officer. The decision has been taken in view of rising number of Covid19 cases in the city.
