Ahmedabad: Adani Airports managed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI Airport), Ahmedabad has started terminal shuttle service for the passengers to commute between the terminals. This service will facilitate transport between two terminals at the airport via Cab service without any charges for the passengers.
Four cabs will be available at the airport on a 24 hour basis for the passengers, under the terminal shuttle service. The ground staff will also guide the passengers of the connecting flights about this service to facilitate smooth and timely transportation between the terminals.
Earlier, the travelers of connecting flights had to go to one terminal from another terminal either on foot or by paying heavy transportation fares of around 300 to 400 INR for one kilometer at the SVPI Airport. The service has been started with an aim of resolving these issues and considering the comfort of the passengers of connecting flights.
There’s a walkalator built to connect both terminals, however it often goes out of order. In long term, plans are afoot to connect both terminals through a new ‘L’ shape building. DeshGujarat
