Oxygen requirement up at 600 tonnes against 250 tonnes earlier: Gujarat CM

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister today held interaction with office bearers and elected representatives of eight municipal corporations of the State that contribute over 60 per cent covid cases.
Rupani said the State government has created 18,000 new covid beds in 15 days. He said, the State arranges daily 20,000 Remdesivir injections, even through procurement from other States.
He said the requirement of oxygen has gone up to 600 tonnes from earlier requirement of 250 tonnes. Covid tests have been increased from 50,000 earlier to 1,30,000 now, he said adding that the area where more than five covid cases are detected is declared as a micro containment zone.
