Pharma companies reduce Remdesivir injection prices

New Delhi: Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya today announced revised prices of major brands of ‘Remdesivir injection 100mg/vial’. Cadila Healthcare Ltd’s Remdac continues to be the cheapest option available at Rs. 899 while Hetero Healthcare Ltd’s Covifor is costliest one available at Rs. 3,490. There are total seven pharma companies that make Remdesivir injections that are in overwhelming demand due to increasing spread of Covid19 virus infection. The minister said, ‘Due to Government’s intervention, the price of Remdesivir Injection is now reduced! I am thankful to pharmaceutical companies for joining hands with the Government to fight against CoVID Pandemic.’
