Drive Through Vaccination at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad is not-for-profit initiative: Apollo Hospitals

Apollo Hospitals today in a statement said, it’s drive-through vaccination site at GDMC ground in Ahmedabad is a not-for-profit initiative.
“With the Nobel intention of supporting the Government of India (GoI) in its drive to achieve maximum vaccination against COVID in the shortest time, Apollo Hospitals has been privately procuring Vaccines from the Manufacturers as per the guidelines of GoI. and has been managing in-hospital vaccination camps and mass vaccination camps across various cities the country,” A statement released by Apollo Hospitals said.
“The cost of vaccination is to take care of the logistics, Cold chain Maintenance and Staffing to manage this kind of Large-Scale Mass Vaccination drive,” it added.
Apollo said, “This is a Non-Profit initiative of Apollo Group of Hospitals with sole objective of achieving maximum populations vaccinated in the shortest time possible. More so when various experts group are predicting third wave in country in near future.”
The Statement further said, “Apollo Hospitals – Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad, in addition to the ongoing In-hospital vaccination in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Nashik, Vizag, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow, Delhi etc. is now operating and managing the Drive Through Mass Vaccination (DTMV) program at GMDC ground, Ahmedabad. Apollo Hospital has deployed 60 or more staff and providing COVISHIELD as Paid Vaccination, for the benefit of the Citizens of Ahmedabad and public at large.”
