Chaturmas 2021 begins in Gujarat on July 20, will continue till November 14

Gandhinagar: The ‘Chaturmas’ for year 2021 in Gujarat will begin from July 20 and conclude on November 14.
It will start with the day of Dev-shayani Ekadashi as per Vikram Samvat Gujarati Hindu calendar on 20th July and continue till Dev-uthani Ekadashi which falls on 14th November this year as per the Christian calendar.
Chaturmas will consist of a period of 3 months and 26 days this year.
The weddings and other auspicious occasions like Griha-Pravesh would not be scheduled during this period as per Hindu rituals by believers. However, shubh-muhurat for the beginning of tasks like shopping, exchange, investment, jobs and businesses will continue to be available during this period.
It is believed that Lord Vishnu will remain asleep during this period of Chaturmas. Worshipping and adoration ( Tap, Jap, Bhakti) are advisable for everyone during this period. The Chaturmas for Jains will begin from 23rd July. DeshGujarat
