Holy month Shravan begins in Gujarat for year 2021, Hindu Gujarati year 2077

Rajkot: The holy month of Shravan in Gujarat has begun today. It will and end on Monday 6th September. The holy month thus begins and ends on Monday this year. Mondays are considered holy and auspicious during Shravan.
Shravan month will this year have 5 Mondays that shall fall on 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th August and 6th September. Shravan is particularly important month bhakti of Bhagwan Shiv. Large number of devotees observe fast and visit Shiva temples, especially on Mondays during this month. Somnath Mahadev in Prabhas Patan due to its importance as Jyotirlinga becomes the capital of festivities of auspicious Shravan month in Gujarat.
Shravan begins late in Gujarat compared to other north Indian states, as it is observed as per Gujarati Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar in Gujarat.

Rakshabandhan (Shravan Sud Punam): 22 August, Sunday
Nag Panchami (Shravan Vad Pancham): 27 August, Friday
Janmashtami (Shravan Vad Aatham): 30th August, Monday
Nagpanchami (Shravan Vad Pancham): 27August, Friday
Randhan Chhath(Shravan Vad Chhath): 28 August, Saturday
Shitla Satam(Shravan Vad Satam): 29 August, Sunday
Nand Mahotsav (Shravan Vad Nom): 31st August, Tuesday
Aja Ekadashi (Shravan Vad Agiyaras): 3rd September, Friday
