Gujarat High Court restrains implementation of some sections of “anti – Love Jihad” law

Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court has has issued a restraining order on the implementation of sections 3, 4, 4A, 4B , 4C, 5, 6 and 6A of recently implemented Gujarat Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act, popularly known as “anti love jihad” law. These sections are regarding criminal offence. The High Court said, FIR cannot be registered unless it is proved that the marriage was solemnized through coercion, pressure or greed. DeshGujarat
