Gandhinagar: An audio clip of the deputy collector of Balasinor in Mahisagar district getting annoyed due to not being addressed as ‘Sir’ by his old classmate went viral on social media.
In the audio clip, Deputy Collector Hareshbhai Makwana appears annoyed on a call for being addressed as ‘Hareshbhai’ instead of ‘Sir’ by one of his old classmates.
He says in the audio clip that his old classmate “friend” shouldn’t address him as ‘Hareshbhai’ in the WhatsApp messages. He says further that he will take legal actions if he doesn’t address him as sir.
The other person in the audio clip tries to convince him by saying that they were classmates. The deputy collector argues that being a classmate doesn’t give privilege of insulting a class-1 officer in such a manner. The other person apologises to him in the audio clip. DeshGujarat
