Iranian boat carrying drugs with 7 aboard nabbed off Gujarat coast

Gandhinagar: On an intelligence based joint act Indian Coast Guard with Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police apprehended Iranian boat in Indian water with 7 crew members carrying drugs. The boat is being brought to nearest port for further rummaging and investigations. This information was shared by the Public Relation Officer of Defense Ministry in Gujarat region.
The boat with 50 kg contraband heroin worth Rs. 150 crore had left from a port in Iran and it was supposed to go towards Sri Lanka. It could not venture into the waters of Sri Lanka and it went towards the Indian water after which it was monitored and apprehended.
