ACB Gujarat nabs Deputy Mamlatdar in Rs. 2.25 lakh bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a Deputy Mamlatdar in Rs. 2,25,000 bribe case in Umreth taluka of Anand district in Central Gujarat.
According to ACB, accused Jayprakash Parshottambhai Solanki is deputy mamlatdar in E-dhara kendra in mamlatdar office at Umreth in Anand district.
A complainant’s uncle is into business of plotting and construction. He had sold about 11 bigha land at Bhalej in Umreth taluka. As he found error in measurement of area he contacted the accused for correction and final entry certification of documents. Accused demanded Rs. 3 lakh bribe initially but after some bargain, the final sum of bribe was arrived at Rs. 2,25,000.
As complainant didn’t want to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which, a trap was arranged and accused Solanki was nabbed. DeshGujarat
