Avi Hasson, CEO, Start-Up Nation Central: “The first India Israel Innovation Accelerator proved to be extremely successful with four of the five participating Israeli innovators in advanced stages of signing commercial agreements with their Indian partners. As a result of this positive outcome, we are now launching a second cohort focused on green energy that addresses the growing concern over climate change and the race to reduce carbon emissions. We believe India is an important and underexamined market for Israeli innovators and that Start-Up Nation Central is the ideal partner to them access it based on our excellent relationships with our Indian counterparts and experience creating unique programs that lead to successful business partnerships.”
Ambassador-Designate of Israel to India, H.E. Mr. Naor Gilon: “The launch of the second batch for the India-Israel Innovation Accelerator is an important milestone in the growing innovation and technology collaboration between Israel and India. This program stands in line with the visions of the Prime Ministers of both countries. It will continue to strengthen cooperation between Israeli and Indian entrepreneurs and startups. Israel has the most startups per capita worldwide, and India is a top innovation destination in Asia. So there is great potential for collaboration between both the countries, using tech innovations, accumulated experience and out-of-the box approach.”
Commenting on the session, Anupam Jalote, CEO, iCreate said, “India is a land that presents very large opportunities – as our per capita consumption of energy increases, our choices impact the entire world. That is why I am delighted that along with Start-up Nation Central of Israel, we are focusing the energies of the ‘India Israel Innovation Bridge’ on cleantech. This will enable companies and innovators from both sides to collaborate to bring out the very best options for India, Israel and the world, going forward”.
