The notification is issued by the state government as per the order of the supreme court. The bursting of fireworks has been allowed from 8 to 10 pm in the state on Diwali and related days. However, it is allowed from 11.55 pm to 12.30 am at night on the day of New-year.
The selling of fireworks online by e-commerce websites is banned. Only the sellers holding licences can sell the fireworks. The notification only allows the production and selling of green and approved fireworks. Importing fireworks from foreign countries is banned.
