3-year old child dies after swallowing Pop-Pop fire cracker

Surat: A 3-year-old child died after swallowing pop-pop fire-crackers in the Dindoli area of Surat.
The child’s father had bought pop-pop crackers which his 3-year old son had swallowed instead of bursting. He had fallen sick and didn’t recover despite taking medicines. He suffered from vomiting and diarrhoea. The family came to know that the child had swallowed pop-pop crackers after his mother noticed them in his vomit. He was taken to a local doctor following which he was shifted to civil hospital in Surat for further treatment. He was declared dead during treatment at the civil hospital in Surat.
The child’s father Raj Sharma is mainly from Bihar and does carpentry for earning. He lived with his wife, his 3-year old son Shaurya (deceased) and a 2-year-old daughter in Surat. DeshGujarat
