Training programme on Patola making for women organized in Patan

Patan: The Development Commissioner Office (Handloom), Bunkar Seva Kendra and Ahmedabad office of Ministry of Textile have jointly started a 45-day long special training programme on Patola weaving for a group of 20 females at Rajkawada in Patan district of North Gujarat starting from today.
The course is conducted in the building of ‘Gramshri’ institute. A group of 20 females was earlier given the training of Mashru weaving. The looms were distributed to 14 trainees, while motoring winding machine kits were distributed to 17 trainees. The government bears 90 per cent cost of these looms and machines while the trainees contribute 10 per cent cost.
The stipend of Rs 300 per day will be deposited in the accounts of each trainee female. DeshGujarat
