Maulana Qamar Gani sent to further 9 days remand

Ahmedabad: Local court here has sent accused maulana Qamar Gani Usmani to 9 days further remand (police custody) in Kishan Bharwad murder case upto 3 pm on February 16. Maulana was brought to the court as his previous remannd term was over. The court granted further remand as the investigation linked to his role in the case is at crucial stage. The investigation team told the court that it was in need of further remand of maulana as there was a list of 1500 persons with Qamar’s organizarion which needs to be investigated. Also the resignations of some office bearers of his NGO requires investigation.
Another accused Azim Sama who had supplied weapon in Kishan Bharwad murder case was sent to juidicial custody ( Sabarmati central jail ) on completion of his remand term. Investigation team of Police had not demanded further remand of Sama as there was no further ground for same and investigation linked to his role in the case was over. DeshGujarat
