Nearly 98 per cent Shakhas resume functioning after pandemic : RSS

Pirana: Manmohanji Vaidya, Sah Sarkaryawah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today while addressing a press-conference at Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha venue of RSS informed that sangh karya has resumed at 98.6 percent places at present compared to March 2020.
He said “Shakhas (RSS daily local morning gatherings) were closed during covid-19 pandemic. It is pleasure to inform that the sangh karya has resumed at 98.6 percent places compared to March 2020. Around 60,000 shakha are functioning now. Thus, 97.5 percent shakha have resumed compared to 2020.” The number of weekly meetings- “Saptahik Milan’ has increased, he said and added that the monthly meetings, known as ‘Sangh Mandali’ have resumed at 91 percent places.
He said that 61 percent out of total 60,000 shakha consist of students and 39 percent shakha are attended by the karyakartas. Thus, the number of youth is continuously rising in the shakhas, he said. He added that the number of shakhas and their spread are increasing. Around 1 lakh to 1.15 lakh youth are willing to join sangh every year, during the 5 years from 2017 to 2021, he added.
“The sangh swayamsevaks served very well amidst covid-19 pandemic. It is the special feature of Bharat that: The activeness of the society at such extent was not seen in any of the country except Bharat. It was only the state machinery to serve and save people” he said. He said that only Bharat is a country where the government has served very well but also the people came out in large numbers.
