He called upon the Gujarat BJP Sangathan to keep doing new things that will increase their mass contact. For example- he gave the idea of holding a Sammelan of all the primary members of the Party. He also said that the BJP tradition of “Tiffin Baithaks” could be held across the state.

BJP had invited the MPs, MLAs and officers to the meeting with PM Modi at Shri Kamlam. Around 8 senior leaders of the party above 75-80 years of age namely former minister Narottam Patel, Narayanbhai Patel, IK Jadeja and former MP Prabhatsinh Chauhan also remained present at the meeting.
PM Modi said while mentioning the name of Shankarji Okhaji Thakor, “When I had newly become the chief minister, the MLA serving from 9 terms (Shankarji Okhaji Thakor) told me: ‘We have to go to villages after you have taken charge. We won elections without visiting the villages till now.’ The politicians only appeared at the time of elections earlier. BJP changed this system. Stay among the public, whether the election is there or not there.”
PM Modi said while mentioning Narayanbhai Patel, “Kaka (Narayanbhai Patel) is present here. When he returned home early, Kaki (his wife) asked why he came early. The family members feel surprised as to why the visits have stopped, when a BJP karyakarta would stay at home. You should start tiffin meetings. Arrange sammelan with primary members. Find out whether the benefits reach the beneficiaries or not.”
He said while mentioning Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, ” The year 1998 was a turning point for BJP. Bhupendrasinh had written a slogan on a wall in Dholka: ‘Bas Have to Bhajap.’ (Only BJP for now) It came out to be so effective that it became evident across the entire state.”
He said while mentioning IK Jadeja, “He (IK Jadeja) always kept a card of the government’s scheme in his pocket, when the technology was not there. He distributed cards to the needy persons wherever he went. Whether it be a fare or a ceremony. There is the BJP government at both center and state at present. Everyone should make efforts to convey the benefits of the schemes to the most needy person.”
PM Modi said, “Because I came here, everyone outside might say that I came here because elections are coming in the state, but that’s not true. I was unable to meet you all for a long time due to covid-19. This meeting and election results of 5 states is nothing but a coincidence.” DeshGujarat
