A grand welcome for PM Modi in Gujarat; He had to change his vehicle on route from Raj Bhavan to RRU

Gandhinagar: Thousands of people gathered next to the road leading to Rashtriya Raksha University (RSU) from Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar to watch a glimpse of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi. The Prime Minister who had night-halt at Raj Bhavan in State capital was on way to RSU to dedicate its new building and also to attend first convention of RSU as a Chief Guest. The locals were standing behind barricades and on terraces to have a glimpse of son of soil Prime Minister. Narendrabhai was sitting on the front seat of black car, so that the people could have his glimpse easily. He occasionally came out of the car and stood up on the door waving his hand. Some village leaders on the route were allowed to cross barricades to greet the PM.

Once when State party chief CR Patil led a large group of BJP workers towards PM’s car, the PM came out of a regular car of his convoy and took position in an open vehicle – Mahindra Thar. PM Modi’s decision to change the vehicle was worth because, then on, over a lakh people could be seen on both sides of roads to have a glimpse of their beloved leader. Neither the supreme leader nor common people gathered aligned to roads took break under scorching sun and heat and continued to exchanged greetings by cheering, waving hands, beating drums and showering flower petals.

The Prime Minister after his arrival yesterday at Sardar Patel airport took position in open jeep with State Chief Minister and State BJP chief and reached State party headquarters Shri Kamalam in road show style. He addressed party leaders at Shri Kamalam and later went to Raj Bhavan. He then addressed Panchayati Raj Sammelan at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad and later joined Shri Somnath Trust meeting at Raj Bhavan. He then went to his younger brother’s house in Gandhinagar to meet his mother Hiraba and break bread with her. The Prime Minister today after attending RSU function will also attend inaugural function of Khel Mahakumbh 2022 at Sardar Patel stadium in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad. DeshGujarat
