Gujarat govt approves Rs. 168.73 crore water distribution works of AMC

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister has given in-principle approval to Rs. 168.73 crore water distribution works in Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) area under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
Jaspur water treatment plant campus will have a 200 MLA water treatment plant with a pump house at a cost of Rs. 85.64 crore. Rs. 83.09 core works will be taken up to lay a 2500 mm diameter MS pipeline from Jaspur treatment plant to SP ring road – Vaishnodevi circle.
It’s worth noting that the North West zone – South West zone – Chandkheda, Motera and Sabarmati areas are supplied water through existing 400 MLD capacity water treatment plant of Jaspur. The next plan is to supply water to newly added area of AMC including Bopal and Ghuma municipalities.
The Chief Minister has granted approval with estimated requirement of 10,227 MLD water in year 2045. DeshGujarat
