Substations to be dedicated by PM Narendrabhai will further strengthen power supply infra in rural Dahod

Dahod: PM Narendra Modi will dedicate 66-KV Bavka substation in Kharod and perform foundation stone laying of 66-kv Ghodiya substation in Zalod in Dahod district.

The 66-kv Bavka substation will provide electricity to 4851 residents of 6 villages around Bavka substation. It is set-up at a cost of Rs 4.68 crore by Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd. Its total capacity is 30 MVA. Three new feeders will be set-up at Nagrala, Muvaliya and Chandvada. Due to the substation, the electricity will be provided with enough power to agricultural and non-agricultural users of 6 villages namely Bavka, Muvaliya, Vijagadh, Gadoi, Chabdvada, and Nagrala.

The foundation stone laying of Ghodiya substation in Zalod will be performed at Kharod. It will provide electricity to 5653 residents in a 27-km area surrounding the substation. It will be built across 4900 square meters of land at a cost of Rs 5.75 crore. It will provide electricity to 25 villages of Zalod namely Ghodiya, Chhasiya, Chotrodiya, Fulpura, Gamdi, Ghesva, Hadmat, Khuta, Jafarpur, Zalod, Khakhariya, Kharsana, Maghnisar, Mahudi, Paniya, Pethapur, Rampura, Raypura, Shankarpura, Therka, Thunthi, Kankasiya, Timachi, Vagela. Four new feeders of 66 kv will be set up at Ghodiya. Its capacity will be 30 MVA.

Total 20 substations are established in Dahod district at present which includes 17 of 66 kv, 2 of 132 kv, 1 of 220 kv. There will be 21 substations in the district after the addition of Bavka substation. DeshGujarat
