LPG dealers, distributors will no longer need PDS permit in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: As part of the ease of doing business and minimum government, maximum governance initiatives, LPG dealerships and distributors in Gujarat will no longer have to apply for permits from the Public Distribution System (PDS) department.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by the chief minister yesterday, according to minister and government spokesperson, Jitu Vaghani.
There are 1,000 LP dealerships in the state and they will no longer need to apply for renewal of permits. Similarly, new dealerships will no longer need to apply for the permit before going into business. DeshGujarat
